Borderline Morris was founded on 5 June 2008 in Barnstaple, North Devon, as a mixed Morris side dedicated to the Border tradition.
As members of the Morris Federation, we perform both traditional dances and a number developed by ourselves, reflecting the lively and vigorous Border style that originated in the English Border Counties.
Our side is distinguished by our raggy jackets, in the Devon colours of green, black, and white, and by the traditional disguises we wear in keeping with the custom of dancing to go begging.
We meet on Thursday evenings for practice during the winter months, and in the summer season we can be found dancing at local venues, festivals, and events throughout the region.
